"[Swan Mountain Wilderness Guide School's Outfitting for Outfitters] class definitely gave me the tools to be able to achieve my goals in the industry. By narrowing down each step of the process and assigning a timetable to that specific piece of the puzzle, the class gave me a full understanding of the requirements and responsibilities involved in obtaining an outfitting license in the state of Montana. I would without hesitation recommend this specific program to potential students or businesses. Its unique nature and care given to the curriculum is unparalleled in the outfitting industry. Mr. Tabor strives to better the industry by encouraging and educating outfitter candidates in the ethics, morals and regulations pertaining to outfitting and guiding in Montana."
"What an amazing trip! Swan Mountain Outfitters made my experience in the beautiful state of Montana exceptional. Hard work and punctuality from the guides made our tour run smooth and we felt safe with all of our experiences. Not only were they professional, but their passion for their line of work made us feel completely welcome. The snowmobile tour was the BEST! We did a half day trip and loved every minute with the thrill of the sleds and the beauty of the scenery. I can't wait to go back and experience the summer with Swan Mountain Outfitters."

"What a wonderful experience! Our gorgeous one-day [llama] trek to a waterfall was an outstanding experience. We enjoyed the gentle llamas, the beauty of our surroundings, the gentle pace of hiking, and a tasty lunch. We were very impressed with our guide who was personable, knowledgeable, and had our safety and the welfare of the llamas always in mind. Swan Mountain Outfitters was very professional - from our initial contact to the time of leaving the farm after our trek. This is a delightful day trip, easily accessible from anywhere near Glacier National Park."

"I absolutely loved Swan Mountain Outfitters and the experience I had with my son while hunting with your outfit. I can't say enough positive things about your team, the food, the amazing setting, and the memories made. Tom (our guide), was one of the best parts of the whole experience. He was such a professional through the entire process. He was knowledgeable, very patient, he taught us a lot about the land, the plants, the animals, and an honest hard work. I am very grateful to have had him as a part of our experience (and not just because he got us a huge buck)."
"Swan Mountain Outfitters handled the "saddle" portion of this Wild River [saddle/paddle] package and the job they did was first rate. Teaching a 59 year old has-been how to stay on a horse is not easy, but Derik, our wrangler, did a fantastic job from start to finish, even sharing his "birthday" huckleberry taffy! If one finds themselves in the West Glacier region and they have an opportunity to partake in an adventure that Swan Mountain is involved with, go for it; you will not be disappointed!"
"My 13 year old son and I took a day long fly fishing float trip last week with Swan Mountain Outfitters. Being a beginning fly fisherman, our guide was totally patient and accommodating. We had a great time and learned a tremendous amount not only about fishing, but wildlife on the river as well. This experience was better than advertised and I would highly recommend his group as an outfitter and will go back again next year."
"Where to begin? This was such an amazing trip from start to finish. My 13 year old daughter and I took a 3 day trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness with Swann Mountain Outfitters. Everything exceeded our expectation from the horses to the camp to the food to the fishing. Our guides were second only to the sublime scenery. We rode in 14 miles to a wonderful camp where dinner was prepared and spent a beautiful evening by campfire. The tents were great with cots and wood burning stoves. Dinner was excellent. the next day we rode into the Bob Marshall and went fly fishing. The lake was pristine with tons of fish. Dinner at camp was wonderful and I was grateful that Betsy the mule carried my wine up the mountain for me! Both my daughter and I felt like this was so memorable. Hats of to Katie, Shawn and Gini for fantastic guiding and food. Run don't walk to the "Bob" with Swan Mountain Outfitters."
"My wife, my 18-yr-old son, and I booked a half-day trail ride with Swan River at the West Glacier corral, just outside the park. It was early in the season (29 May), so the higher elevation trails inside the park were closed. No matter: we arrived at 8AM to find everything ready to go. Our guide (Christen) was great. There was a brief safety talk, and then we were off. Our horses (Blackjack, Ralphie, and Max) were well behaved and well groomed. Ralphie (my horse) seemed to have power steering! The normal tendency of the horses to snack en route was easily managed. Christen kept up a steady banter with all of the party members, and made sure everyone felt welcome, and at ease. Lunch included a sandwich with enough deli meats to make about three more sandwiches, so arrive hungry. The woods and trails were beautiful. Weather was overcast, but the rain held off. If we get a chance to go again, we'll book a longer ride into the back country. Fantastic trip, and worth every penny!"
